EAL Employment Pathways Support (Richmond)

This program provides individual employment pathways mentoring, careers guidance and employment preparation support to CALD adults with English language and literacy needs. Program participants can receive individualised support including:

  • Setting short-term and long-term employment goals
  • Identifying courses, tickets and licences required for future employment
  • Resume development
  • Job-seeking skills
  • Interview preparation
  • Commencing work

Please Note: from July – December 2025 this program is only available to students studying in our English classes at Carringbush.

Women’s Referral and Support Service (Collingwood)

The Women’s RASS provides incidental and short-term casework support and referrals to a broad range of services for any woman attending the Neighbourhood Justice Centre or living in the City of Yarra. This service is by appointment. Staff assess each person’s needs to provide practical support and make referrals to external services. Areas of include:

  • Form filling
  • Navigating local services
  • Financial hardship
  • Health referrals
  • Family and relationship issues
  • Legal referrals
  • Citizenship application referrals and test preparation
  • Further education pathways
  • Employment pathways

Reconnect Program

The Reconnect Program supports people aged 17 – 64 to overcome barriers and to engage in training, volunteering, education and employment. We support adults who are unemployed and disengaged from education due to disadvantage, marginalisation and complex barriers to participation. This program aims to improve participants’ overall wellbeing and pathways outcomes by offering wrap-around casework to support their engagement with services, community activities, education, training and employment. Reconnect is funded by Department of Jobs Skills Industry and Regions (DJSIR).
